Vessel Insulation
Insulating tanks and vesselsis another insulation service offered by Promat Coating Company Limited.
Tanks and Vessels can be insulated with polyurethane panels. The panels used also come in galvalume, galvanized, pre-painted and aluminum. The difference with these panels used, in comparison to the panels used for buildings is that there is only skin applied to one side of the panel. On the opposite side, the polyurethane is scored to give it the flexibility of forming around the tank. Stainless steel strapping is used to attach the panels to the tanks.
Another method would be to insulate with (Mineral Wool, Foamglas, Calcium Silicate, Urethane, and Fiberglass) and metal jacketing banded on with stainless steel strapping. When choosing the metal jacketing to be applied, certain textures such as smooth, corrugated or stucco embossed metal may be required. The most common insulations used are fiberglass and mineral wool.
Tanks and vessels that require industrial insulation include any that carries or stores liquid, gas, air, or product in which the temperature of the substance being transferred or stored is impacted by the temperature of the ambient air. We insulate these mechanical systems to maintain process temperatures for both cold and hot systems; to protect liquids from freezing; to provide burn protection for personnel from possible exposure to hot systems; and for sound attenuation.
Promat Coating Company Limited Insulating storage tanks and vessels helps improve all aspects of the oil and gas industry by effectively increasing:
- Cost savings
- Improves process control by preventing tanks from freezing or being heated by solar radiation.
- Increases safety levels for both interior and exterior factors.
